Volleyball Tournament in Paradise – Tips & Tricks

We noticed the game could be rather challenging for new players. Here is a list of tips and tricks that could help.

  • The red circles on the sand represent where the player needs to be to hit the ball.
  • Bump or pass, press the button way, way, way before the ball gets any close.
  • You can press it as soon as the red circles appear.
  • Keep it pressed, then heads towards ANY of the red circles. You’ll hit the ball once you’re close enough. Let the computer figure out when to hit and how to hit it.
  • You can stop pressing the button if you change your mind, as long as the player is not already in position to hit the ball.
  • The three red circles in the sand represent the three basic hits: Set, Bump and Pancake.
        – A Set has perfect aim.
        – A Bump has good aim, depending on how far from the net you are and how fast the ball is approaching.
        – A Pancake… well…
  • A Set hit could be upgraded to a Spike hit if the ball is high enough and if the player is not too close but not too far (to give time and space to jump for it).
  • If you pull a spike, aim to a zone inside the court but out of reach. Even if the other team manages to answer it, there is a good chance they’ll screw it up.
  • Your teammate will tell you that she’s going for the ball by popping a small dialog at your side.
        – Red means she’s about to pass it to you.
        – Blue means she’s answering the rally.
  • Your teammate will pass it to you if:
        – She receives the ball from the other team,
        – She’s in the far half of the court,
        – She’s out of the court, too far to answer a rally.
  • Your teammate will answer a rally with a spike if you pass the ball to her using a “Set”.
